The Old Town Voyage!

What do on that crazy sunny saturday?? I tanned with my friend by my unopened pool! I did anything to take my chance for a tint of some color! My ingerdients included tanning chairs, towels, tanning oil, bathing suits, and ourselves! We laid out for a couple of hours than decided we should do something different, so we got dolled up and headed to Old Town Alexandria!

The sun really EXISTS!!!

Today is April 17th and we have weather in the seventies and the sun is shining bright! I have come to the conclusion that I might have some case of SADD, meaning "Seasonal Affective Disorder Depression" because I have been like depressed and moody on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with all the rain and darkness!!

However, yesterday and today has been a blessing because I now know the sun exists and has been keeping a smile on my face. Today is perfect for the Marymount Spring fest, and just to walk at the park and enjoy the sun's heat. This weather gets me excited about the upcoming summer season!!

Papers, finals, upcoming deadlines will be much easier for me with nice weather on my side! Go away rain! thanks! :)

Work and no Play..

Last weekend one of my closest friends left for the Air force :(. We had a festive weekend othat consistesd of night clubs and a party with a cake for her farewell. She will be heading to San Antonio, Texas and go through two weeks of boot camp than graduate and then tech school! I am so proud of her, and i know she will be fine because she is strong and determined!

Jobs!

I have been on the job hunt for a couple of weeks now. CareerBuilder.com has been my best friend..i have been looking for a internship just to be ahead of the game..or just a summer job in the field I want to do in the future. I have had some good luck. I already had on interview with a company in Manassas, but I am still looking around because I dont want to have to commute that far in the summer.

Today I just got a call from another company, and they want me to go in for an interview this thursday! yayay! We will see hopefully I can pick the right job that will help me gain experience and help me figure out what I want to do for my future career!

Next Month of Stress

April is supposed to be happy and warm but instead I feel like its the opposite. I have this last month to finish two pig papers, and group presentations. I have been procrastinating on everything. I have to juggle my extra hours that have been added on to my work schedule because a few employees left!! AND FINALS!! AHH!!!

However, i need to stay positive. I have been going to interviews for an internship in Communications so at least I am one step closer to my career, but maybe not in my papers :(

Reality is back :(

First week of school back from spring break is tough! I had a midterm and a book to finish! I ended up doing it all that weekend before classes start. It was stressful but i pulled through!! However, this week went by fast surprisingly. I have made time for friends who had spring break this week to catch up with them. I baked cookies last night with two of my best friends, and tonight I am going to watch "The House On the Left" because its friday the 13th.

I am relaxing with friends this week because I am exhausted from the Cancun lifestyle that i barely kept up with it. I hope you all took a look at my mini slideshow, if you want to see more pictures become my facebook friends :)

A little Taste of Cancun!

I am tired...I am sick....because I am back to reality! Cancun was amazing, barely slept and enjoyed downtown Mexico. I meet a lot of amazing people, and i got closer to my friends i went with. Even though, Cancun is 25% occupied and the crime is not looking so bright, we still made the best of it. I just did not get the tan i wanted ... :)

Bottling up my excitement...!!!

This is my last week until spring break, I am trying very hard not to think about sand, the water, and the 80 degree weather!!! I am stressed out with work, school and other things but i need to just get them all out of the way before i can be truley excited about my spring break in CANCUN!!!

What isn't better than a resort with a pool, bar IN the pool, the beach right in front of it, and my favorite TANNING weather. I am going with a few of my best friends, and it is a good way for us to escape for a good week. :-)

This trip will mean alot to me because i have never went out of the country with just friends, and also one of my friends will be leaving for the air force and has never really been out of the country. I am glad to be able to share my amazing experience with these girls, and i hope i can update you with amazing memories when i get back!

I already got my clothes ready just need to get my mind ready after this stressful week! CANCUN SPRING BREAK 2009 HERE I COME!!!!

Snowball.....or the...dullball...

Last Saturday night my friend Eleni and I rushed out of work to get ready for the snow ball...We quickly drove to my house got ready, dolled ourselves up and headed to "The Westin" hotel! We arrived and there was a lot of people, we started dancing but the music was just not that great. It was those kind of songs that you would just listen too, NOT dance too.
However, the food was not that bad and the dessert was pretty good. So basically, i bought a ticket to eat food. (GREAT!) If anyone felt bad about not going, DONT!...:(

New Look....

I mentioned earlier i wanted to change a few things and follow some new year resolutions, and i kind of did? I decided to dye my hair a darker brown! It might not look too different, but i feel like its very different. I usually keep it simple, but takin the risk of a small change makes a big difference for me. 

However, people have noticed at work and school. I have gotten a lot of compliments that i can pull it off. I will post some fun pictures of my hair adventure. :)

My Super Duper Long Weekend :)

Snowing, studying, and sleeping were all neglected during my weekend! None of these things happened during my super long weekend, there was just too much to do! Once friday class was finished i zoomed out the door. Headed home to relax, even though i am not one to stay home and relax much. I always need to be out and about!

As the days went by i kept myself busy with work and going out. I went out with friends to dinner and the movies, it was a nice weekend. I definitely did not sleep or study, and never once did it snow!

Yesterday, I had no classes and took of work because it was my boyfriends birthday! I cooked him dinner which i did not think was very good. ( He said he liked it, but he was probably lying.) He is a natural cook, i am a lazy woman that likes to spend money on useless things!

On the other hand, during this weekend i decided  I am making a change! I need to start sticking to my new years resolutions! I had a few in mind, which included eating healthier, getting better grades, move out from home, and concentrate on my future. If i accomplish these i think i will have a better grip on things!

First Week of School

Hello my name is Gabriella Farruggio, but as most of you know, I am referred to as Gaby.
 Commonly, my name "Gaby" is spelled with two b's which is for me it is only one. (Sorry that is just one thing i have to straighten with people, especially, the first week of school. 

However,I will describe to you my classes and experience for this first week of school. I am takin 15 credits, for me thats about five classes. The funny thing is i have had all my teachers in the past accept one this semester. Very ironic! I find that it will benefit me because i will be familiarized with how those teachers teach already.

My ending thoughts, i hope i do not get addicted to this blogger!!! I already have facebook to worry about, i don't need more technology to run my life! :)
